We’ve done a deep dive into Decathlon’s sale to bring you the best deals on new clothes, kit and accessories.

From wind-breaking gilets to merino wool jerseys, there’s plenty of gear to get your hands on.

If you’re looking for more, you can check out Decathlon’s sale page in full.

Decathlon’s Rockrider series is geared towards making mountain biking gear for more affordable prices. The ST500 is designed for riding in warmer weather, made from a sweat-wicking material to keep you cool.

The fabric features a tight weave, which Decathlon says helps prevent rubbing and chafing. The sleeves are cut slightly longer to give your arms some protection on the trails.

There are two water-resistant pockets for valuables and a single multipurpose pocket, all positioned to fit around a hydration backpack.

The Triban Men’s Road Short-Sleeved Summer Jersey has a single zipped pocket on the back for storage and the cut is relaxed, which Decathlon says provides greater freedom of movement.

It’s a particularly affordable option at just £7.99.

In our review of the bib version, we lauded their comfort in spite of the affordable price tag.

The bibless version offers many of the same materials and features, from the high-density chamois pad to the same moisture-wicking fabric that performed well in our review.

There’s also a thigh pocket for easy access to a phone while riding. They’re available at a saving of just under 15 per cent, making them even more affordable.

The 8-speed drivetrain of the Riverside hybrid bike 120 should give ample range for easy riding. The V-brakes won’t provide as consistent braking power as disc brakes but will be fine for riding in fair weather.

A comfortable cockpit and seat round out this affordable package.

The Triban RC 500 Disc Brake road bike scored an impressive 4.5 stars when we tested it last year.

Our tester appreciated the bike’s brakes, fittings for accessories and versatility, saying it “offers you a huge amount of bike for quite a modest amount of cash.”

In the Decathlon sale, it offers even better value for money with 7 per cent off.

The Direto X smart trainer features a built-in power meter, with a claimed accuracy of 1.5 per cent. It can simulate climbs of 18 per cent, with a max power output of 2,100 watts.

The Elite Direto Interactive comes with a built-in sensor which measures power output with a claimed accuracy of 2 per cent. It can simulate climbs of up to 14 per cent, with a max power output of 1,400 watts.

The trainer comes with access to software and app with a pedalling analysis option, as well as Zwift and Bluetooth.

The noise level is reportedly quiet in use and it’s available at a saving of 16 per cent.

The Hutchinson Kraken twin pack comes with a saving of 11 per cent.

The 29n mountain bike tyres are 2.3in wide and are a good budget option if you’re looking to upgrade your stock rubber, though be warned they’re not tubeless compatible.

The Ergon SR Road Comp Men’s bike saddle is currently in the Decathlon sale with 33 per cent off.

The road bike saddle is said to have an ergonomically designed shape with a relief channel, as well as OrthoCell inlays to help distribute weight.

This men’s cycling jersey uses a moisture-wicking material, which aims to keep your skin dry.

There’s a full-length zip for ventilation and pockets: one zipped for your valuables and two for energy gels or bars.

This jersey features a design similar to the short sleeve summer jersey above but includes a merino wool fabric, which aims to offer enhanced breathability.

The material is also said to provide enhanced stretch and comfort. There’s a large back pocket for storage and a zipped pocket for valuables.

This option from Triban is for when the weather reaches an awkward middle phase: too cold for a summer jersey but too hot for a winter jacket.

The jacket features a fleece lining and windproof fabric for protection, but breathable fabric across the back and sleeves.

There’s a full-length zip for some added ventilation, three back pockets and a zipped chest pocket.

The Van Rysel cycling gilet is available with a saving of 16 per cent.

The front features a water and windproof material, while the back is made from a mesh fabric to help with breathability.

The fabric features a neon yellow colour for increased visibility, with reflective patches for riding in low light.

In our test of the best bib shorts for men, these cycling shorts earned an impressive four and a half stars.

It scored well in part due to the fit, which we thought was supportive but not overly compressive.

We also liked the mesh upper and air channels which keep you cool, as well as the supportive pad.

Another option for when the weather shifts, this women’s gilet is designed to protect you from wind and provide a layer of thermal protection.

The gilet uses a fabric which is said to be ultra-lightweight, meaning it should be compact enough to fit into your pocket.
