Marks and Spencer shoppers are absolutely loving its £35 pure merino wool jumper that's been called 'luxurious', and is a budget alternative to more expensive cashmere styles as the autumn and winter months approach. The affordable M&S Collection jumper is a 'warm' timeless classic that can be worn for all events.

The £35 autumn and winter piece is crafted from a premium pure merino wool fabric, reports Manchester Evening News. Because of its simple but classy design, the jumper be paired with almost any skirt and tights or pair of trousers for an easy outfit suitable for work or going out in the evening.

The jumper comes in sizes 6 to 24, and five colours. Fashion fans can choose from Cappuccino, Black, Orange, Navy and Electric Blue.

She said: "I bought 2 of these sweaters. They are gorgeous a nice heavy winter weight. I will buy a couple more when there are other colours available."

For a similar style, Superdry has slashed the price of its High Neck Merino Knit Jumper from £54.99 to £27.50. Elsewhere, Ted Baker's Engineered Knit Sweater is now £46 instead of £145 - a huge saving.
